The START-UP Carroll program is Carroll County’s premiere service for those working to start their own business. The program is a service of BDG Entrepreneurial Services, Inc. With a proud seven year history of helping hundreds of entrepreneurs with free small business classes, one-on-one counseling and other business services, this program is being expanded to create the capacity to help more potential business owners achieve the American Dream of business ownership.
Consulting Services
The START-UP Carroll program offers professional consulting services specifically designed for those considering or ready to start a business.
Financing Plan Preparation is a professional service that assists the new or prospective business owner in putting together a plan and proposal for financing. It is a complete package of what the lender will want in considering your financing request. The fee for this plan preparation is $750.
Financing Plan Preparation & Bank Presentations is a professional service that assists the new or prospective business owner in putting together a plan and proposal for financing. It is a complete package of what the lender will want in considering your financing request. When that is done, your Start-Up Carroll Advisor will go with you to up to three banks or lending institutions to deliver the plan and make a full presentation to the commercial lending officer. With considerable experience with lenders, making these types of presentations, Start-Up Carroll can help you explain your concept, your marketing strategies, your numbers and repayment plans. The fee for the preparation of the plan and the bank presentations is $1,250
One-on-One Consulting is a professional service that provides one-on-one consultation with the new or existing business owner. Consulting can focus on a particular aspect of the start-up process or can be used to guide the business owner through the entire process. The hourly rate for start-up consulting is $125 per hour ($95 per hour for those have taken one of the workshops). 5-hour and 10-hour consulting blocks can also be purchased at discounted rates.
Founder
The START-UP Carroll program was founded by Doug Howard. Doug his a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and brings 20 years of small business experience to assisting new business owners get up and running. Doug’s company, BDG Entrepreneurial Services, has operated in five states and is currently based in Carroll County.
